Glucosamine & MSM (with Vitamin C)
Key Benefits
- Promotes flexible muscles, bones, and
joints
- Enhances immune function
- Improves the body's response to stress
- Provides building-block for cartilage
formation
Glucosamine is produced naturally in the body. Like
chondroitin, it is an important building-block for the formation of cartilage.
Cartilage helps our joints function properly by acting as a cushioning gel when
we move. Normal wear-and-tear damages joints, ligaments, and tendons. Sometimes
our bodies cannot keep up with this process of degeneration from its own
manufacture of glucosamine. Therefore, supplemental glucosamine can help to
reduce the damage of aging joints, by providing the necessary building-block for
the repair and replacement of new cartilage. MSM
(methylsulfonylmethane) is a naturally occurring compound in our bodies that
plays a role in the utilization of sulfur in many of our body's important life
processes. Sulfur is needed for the formation of heparin, insulin, biotin,
calcitonin, methionine, human growth factor, fibrinogen, hemoglobin, and muscle
proteins, for example. Sulfur plays a part in proper collagen and cartilage
formation for healthy pain-free bones and joints. It is beneficial also for
responses to stress such as GI distress, inflammation and allergic response,
compromised immune function. MSM taken in supplement form is an odor-free way to
ensure that our bodies have adequate sulfur levels for good health. Vitamin C
helps the absorption of these two very beneficial nutrients.
